Social Content Director

The Social Content Director will be responsible for developing and implementing social media strategies for Cargo clients. They will make strategic social recommendations that work to enhance client brand presence, engage audiences, and drive growth across all social media platforms. This role involves strategic planning, content creation, social campaign management, team leadership, and performance analysis. 

The Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field. 
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in social media management, with experience in both organic and paid social campaigns. 
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms including Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and emerging platforms. 
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing social media strategies that drive engagement and growth. 
  • Experience managing and mentoring a team.
  • Voracious learner and creative problem solver.
  • Ability to self-manage while supporting the team on multiple concurrent projects.
  • Experience working in fast-paced environments with strong attention to detail & organization.
  • Excellent writing and proofing skills.
  • Proficiency in social media management and analytics tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Sprinklr, Google Analytics). 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office including Microsoft Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. 

The Responsibilities 

  • Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies for clients that align with their objectives and goals and that will serve as the blueprint for internal teams on content creation.   
  • Proactively bring new ideas and trends to the forefront while staying up to date on the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices. 
  • Contribute to social ideation with the larger team, challenging the team with new trends and opportunities. 
  • Work with Social Content Manager to oversee the creation of engaging and high-quality content for all social media platforms, including graphics, copy, and video content. 
  • Work with Community Manager to foster and grow active engaged online communities on behalf of our clients.  
  • Monitor and track competitive social media content and trending topics on behalf of Cargo clients.
